I raced the European championship at Matterley Basin this week, that is the best track I have ridden in, it was a tuff weekend, many good riders.
I did not get the results that I wanted, I had to go to the last chance race and got caught up with another rider and crashed on second lap, I bent my front brake disc so it felt like I had tow clutches and it was hard to ride this track with no front brake but I was getting more used to that in the end, I got from 37 place and ended the race in 22 place, but only 10 riders go to the main, so I was not qualified. not the best day, but we come strong to Italy next week and make a better weekend at Montova.

Now the motocoss season of 2014 is nearly finished, this year has been great, no injuries that is the most important for me this year and next years. But I feel like I am getting stronger and faster and looking forward to 2015 season. 3 weeks ago I finished the Icelandic championship, I am now 2014 MX2 and MXopen champion in Iceland, incredible feeling especially when you win the last round, that is so important. Now I am 7 time Icelandic champion, 3 times MX2, 2 times MXopen, Enduro (ECC2) and 85cc class champion. This year I did races all over Europe, I was traveling a lot so I was not racing any special series, so I just did 1 or 2 races in each series. Here are the best results I had in this year 2014.
National Champion in Iceland, MX OPEN National Champion in Iceland, MX2 9th. place in Spanish championship (MX2) 6th. place in Danish championship (MX2) 6th. place on Pro Nationals Weston Beach Race (MX2) 2th. place in VLM series in Belgium (MX2)
Now I am staying I Belgium until the races finishes, my plan is to race in VLM series and when that is finished in end of October I go to Iceland again, but I really what to race the supercross in Germany but I think that will cost too much.
There has been a lot of changes recently for me. I have been racing and travelling a lot and some big changes as well.
The biggest change was to change to Yamaha after racing Honda for 8 years.
The first rides on the new bike were quite different from what I was used to but the “feeling” came quicky. The change was not only from Honda to Yamaha but also going back to a 250 after being on the 450 for a few years. It took a few days to find the correct gears but now I really like how light it is and how much control you have.
Overall I’m very happy with the bike and feeling great for the upcoming season.
Me and my dad had a flight to Amsterdam and drive to Lommel to ride with 2 of our friends Eysteinn and Guðni. I had a new bike and was just testing new things, Jeffery Herlings was riding and many of the guys was there Yesterday practicing for the race in Italy this weekend lots of rain have bin falling down but gets better tomorrow.
I managed to win 3 titles this year in Iceland and my first Enduro title. This was also my first full season in enduro. I am very happy how this year has been, good to be still young and have won these titles. Next year I am going to try do diffrent things and go out of my country. Mostly to Belgium and somewhere ther a around in the sand tracks.
